Anne Frank's House

Recently, I was at Anne Frank's House in Amsterdam. It was really large because it was a former spice factory where Anne's dad worked. When the Nazis found out about her dad working, they closed the production. To keep on working, Anne's dad(Otto) started using his friend's name. Even though it was large, they only used a few rooms and they had to whisper because they had to hide from the workers in the factory. Anne and her family had to go into hiding there because they were Jewish. Otherwise, they would have been deported to a concentration camp. They lived with four other people:Hermann Van Pels, Auguste Van Pels, Peter Van Pels, and Fritz Pfeffer.
There was also the people who helped them hide:Miep Gies, Bep Voskuijl, Jo Kleiman, Victor Kugler, and Jan Gies.
The portion where they lived was called the Secret Annex. Anne died at only 15 at a concentration camp along with her sister and her mother. The reason why they became famous was because of Anne's diary writings, which later on were published and The Diary of A Young Girl was written. Her father was the one who fulfilled Anne's dream of being an author.
